Another Important Rule

If someone gives you their number and you repeat it back to them to confirm the number it is your duty to repeat the number back in the same way! 074-62-72-62-13 is completely different from 074-627-2-621-3. This lack of phone number etiquette can cause a lot of trouble and stress, which could affect the persons health and eventually cause death. So, stop the lackluster, frivalous attitude towards number exchanges and save lives!

My Head Hurts

Occasionally I do some thinking, mainly when I'm bored or doing something more important and my mind gets distracted. During my thinking sessions, thoughts can range from pretty much any topic and in the post I'll be sharing some thoughts I had, that made my head hurt. I was thinking about history first, cos I saw a book that had the word 'history' on it...although I can't remember what book it was. Then I started thinking about the past and stuff that's happened, then I started thinking about significant events that have happened and who caused them. Then I thought about significant people and how important they thought significant people before them were and then the fact they didn't know how important they were gonna be! Einstein might have thought " scheisse! Newton is a bada$$". Then I thought about how the earth was made in the first place and then whatever made the earth what made that!! AND WHAT MADE WHAT MADE THAT!! AND..etc. Then I thought everything has a beginning, but there must have been a first thing! We can call it Joban or something. I thought that was it for the thinking for the day! I was wrong!! Then I thought what was there before Joban??!! DO CIRCLES HAVE A BEGINNING?! Then after all that thinking, I thought about how my brain probably looked in my head while I was doing my daily thinking, and for some reason i imagined it slowly spinning vertically. Then I lay down and had a rest.

Gym

Just come back from the gym, working my guns and doing my squat thrusts. Worked up quite a sweat.. But I won't get into the details cos this is just meant to be a light, entertaining blog, not an addition to the 50 shades of grey series; which, by the way, will be celebrating the release of its first movie. Any way here's my progress so far, hopefully this new workout routine will work! Have a good day!

BREAKING NEWS!

There's been significant developments with the THCC! The World Cup has definitely not distracted people from Thomas' hair, with a number of people challenging the reasons why, Brazil coach, Felipe Scolari has decided to leave David Luiz in England. This mistake keeps causing controversy, so let's see how it all plays out!

THCC

This is Thomas. He is my brother. I know his smiling face gives you the impression that he is a happy-go-lucky, jolly, whimsical character and that you needn't worry about him but unfortunately, this picture has lulled you into a false sense of security. He has a very sad past, the results of which he has to live with now each day. A few years ago a tragic event took place one summer's eve, it was like any other day, until out of nowhere he was bitten by a radioactive bush. I don't think I have to explain the result of this; pictures really do speak a thousand words. It's not as elegant as Peter Parker and naturally not everyone is tolerant of other people afflictions. People in the street are constantly commenting on his hair and so just to show the severity of the span of people's reactions, I've decided to start Thomas' Hair Comment Count (THCC) and so...

Advertising Strategy

"Many a small thing has been made large by the right kind of advertising". This is a quote by Samuel Langhorne Clemens, better known by his pen name Mark Twain, who was an American author and humorist. I read this quote and thought "hmm, my blog is a small thing, maybe I can make it large.." and so I started to think what's the right kind of advertising? So I just did the normal thing and went to the Apple store and put my blog up on all the macs. Start the fire, and watch it burn! Ohh yeahh!! Although the fire didn't really burn much in this case, it did manage to get me an extra 14 views, so I guess it just depends what you consider large. Any way, feel free to advertise the blog in any way you think is good and have a good day!

Quotes

Throughout time people have been remembered and forgotten, although one thing that always seems to be remembered are the quotes people say in their lifetime. Here are some of my favourites:
  • "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."
  • "Yesterday you said tomorrow."
  • "All mankind is divided into three classes: those that are immovable, those that are movable, and those that move."
I could tell you the people who said these quotes, but if you're interested you should look it up and who knows you might find some other interesting stuff on the way! Also the real reason I won't say is I don't know who said one of them and i can't just put two out of three, inconsistency looks bad! So any way, I thought I'd do a few quotes of my own* and see if anyone likes them** or uses them in the future.

  • "If everything is extraordinary, everything will be ordinary."
  • "What you're thinking about the person trying less than you, is what someone else is thinking about you."
  • "You can make all the excuses you want about cooking a bad meal, but in the end you're the only chef."
*I do not claim ownership of any quotes by me that were originally said by someone else, if anyone bothered to check...wow, maybe you should start a blog or something if you're bored.
**If anyone did like any quotes remember you can now order an exclusive 'Javan Gilbert autograph', with a new option to have one of my excellent quotes written on it. For inquiries please email javangilbert@gmail.com and have a good day!

Marvel or DC?

This is a particularly difficult question that may not even have a clear answer, however for me my answer would be green lantern. The green lantern corps is definitely my favourite collection of superheroes and they are in the DC comic series. However, this being said there are plenty of other superhero characters and series that I like very much, both from DC and Marvel. Although green lanterns are definitely my favourite superheroes, I do admit they are probably not the most exciting and powerful ones and I'm the first one to say in terms of movies it was rather disappointing; although Ryan Reynolds is a good actor, the role did not suit him. In terms of movies my favourites are definitely the batman trilogy directed by Christopher Nolan! They were terrific! But back to the point, there are many different green lanterns and this is just a little quiz to see which you are, and seeing as you've been reading this long you might as well do it. Luckily for me I got my favourite lantern, Kyle Rayner. See who you get!

Crazy Hat Lady

Ok so I was walking in the tube station today and there was this lady with a fedora on walking along as well. She seemed pretty normal at first, besides looking a bit like a vampire, but still a normal looking vampire. 'Seemed' is the key word here.. Next thing I know a sudden gust of wind took to the station and the vampire-looking lady's hat went wild, it was flying all over the place. But she couldn't help that so nothing weird yet. Then I hear this mental scream from her and the lady is chasing the hat all across the station, with her arms flailing! Weird girl!! I think I knew her from somewhere..

Dangerous Living

As you all know I live to live on the edge. This is just another example of the kind of mischief I get up to. Don't think I need to say much more..

New Rule

So, I was on my way to university this morning. I arrived at my train station and then started walking to my campus, it was a pretty good start to the morning, a little tired and was thinking up the details of my latest idea. It was all good. Little did I know a woman woke up today at a precise time with an exact set of events leading up to a moment. She's walking towards my direction, just a random individual in a crowd, well that's what I thought.. I'm walking. She's walking. The distance between us decreasing and the sense of intensity increasing. Both of us completely ignorant to the fact that we would have a moment that would lead to me writing a new post on my blog and potentially solving a huge worldwide problem. A congested pavement, both of us walking, weaving through the cluster of pedestrians. We were a foot apart. I went left. She went left. Easy mistake, a smile then get on with your day. I went right. She went right. A chuckle is acceptable and then get on your way. I went left. She went left. There was tension, the funny side of things was dying. I went right. She went right. Everyone's had this experience before but it should never happen four times! Luckily I got out of there!! So, new rule...if this happens to you in the future, after two times both people must go to their left to get out of each other's way. Sorted!

More Talent...Is It Possible?!

After everything you've found out about me by now I know the main thought on everyone's mind..."yeah, he's a smooth operator when it comes to charming the ladies with a tin whistle, but how are dancing skills?". I'm here to put you at ease with a little video preview (more to follow in the future). This video was captured a few weeks after a shoulder operation I had and that's why I'm wearing a sling, it's not just a fashion statement...although I think I wear it pretty well but never mind that. So as you can by the video I got some mad moves and that was me at 3, you don't even wanna see me at 10!! Before the flood of questions come in asking if I'm a professional dancer or if I can perform at an event of some kind, I'll just answer the FAQ in advance. No I am not a professional dancer, I've had no training, some people are just born with it.. Secondly, at the moment I'm not performing at events, however I can be persuaded so don't give up it's not a lost cause! By the way for all those out there that noticed the song, after you noticed my skills, the name of it is Gold Dust - DJ Fresh. Great tune. Speaking of DJ's, I live next to Tim Westwood (UK residents will know him), so if anyone wants an autograph from me or Tim the prices are below:
Tim Westwood autograph - £5
Javan Gilbert autograph - £7.50
Have a good day people and dance a little yourself! It'll make you happy!!

First Thoughts

So I just woke up and these are the first thoughts I have, I'm hungry and I feel like playing some piano (who am I kidding, it's a keyboard!). Was deciding what people would rather see, what I ate or a little of what i played. It was tough and personally, having seen both I think I've cheated you a bit but oh well. If you're watching this and you're getting married soon and you need someone to play the Wedding March for you, I'm willing to learn it and my charge will only be the price of a KFC meal (towered up obviously). Actually, while we're in that area if anyone is getting married and wants a good looking, charming best man but can't find one, I will be willing to step in for FREE (but pictures of the bridesmaids will need to be seen before, don't wanna be wasting my time!). So yeah just bare all that in mind and enjoy the video and enjoy your day!

Music

Well as you can probably tell by now I'm very cool and a bit of a smooth operator. Just to add to that I'm a little musical...for the ladies obviously. I play guitar and dabble with some piano, but more importantly, the instrument that gets the most attention and cool points...the Irish tin whistle. For those of you who are unaware of this instrument, it featured in Howard Shore's famous composition 'Concerning Hobbits'. As you can imagine being able to play a Lord of the Rings tune is full proof, guaranteed to impress, the ladies love it! So if you're impressed and you're a lady just leave your details...just kidding, but..not gonna say you can't know what I mean?! So yeah enjoy the video and have a good day!

Good Thinking Spot

So I'm sitting here on the toilet (that's the spot by the way). I find a lot of my best ideas are conjured up here and I have a lot of ideas, some that could do with improvement but also some great ones! So listen to this gem I came up with one fine winter's day here... So I see a lot of girls that go out for the night wearing heels but taking more comfortable flat shoes with them as well to wear on their way home. So I'm thinking shoes that have a detachable heel and with the front having a velcro strap system that allows the front to widen and narrow. I know what you're thinking...damnnnn that's a good idea, just a little worse than the internet which I'll admit was a decent idea. You're welcome ladies! And Peter Jones...you alright?

More About Me

I know it's hard to listen to the words of someone who you don't really know and get the true meaning behind the words. It's like if uncle Ben was just a random drunk old guy that collected Pokémon, then "with great power comes great responsibility" wouldn't be as meaningful. And because of this I think it's only fair that you get to know me better and they do say a picture paints a thousand words...or something similar I think. So one of my main traits is I'm a bit of rebellious soul. Do you think I wait for the traffic lights to go red for the cars before I cross the road? Haa nope! Any way I think the picture sums it up. Have a good day people...or not, whatever.

Valentine's Day

So just woke up and it's that fun day again, 14th Feb. On this day strategy is important, so let your girl know if you're going out for pizza then it's gonna be pizzaexpress not pizza hut! And usually I know water is good enough (tap water by the way, take it easy!) but today if she wants a drink, she gets a drink! But you have to get the balance right. Let her choose between some red or white wine, but once she starts getting curious about the champagne...time to intervene! You're not made of money! When getting her flowers you get those deals where it comes with free chocolates...I know you're thinking nah just flowers will do. But you should get the package deal, then just give her the flowers and then Easter is sorted or even her next birthday. So have a good day people and good luck!

Hey

What's up? My name is Will Hunting. I work as a janitor at a university. Often I'll see an unfinished equation and I'll just finish it off. Surprisingly there's a lot of unfinished equations written on boards around the uni. I guess if you finish at 6 o'clock and hits 6 o'clock you're gonna go home, whether the equation is finished or not! Only a fool would stay an extra 2 minutes unpaid! Any way my bourne identity is Javan Gilbert and I'm an accounting student, so you can imagine how fun and relaxed I am! I'm pretty cool and I got huge muscles. I speak over 1 languages and have over 100 Facebook friends. I've pretty much told you the most important info about me, so enjoy the blog and enjoy your lives!
